This restaurant owner chef Tetsuya Wakuda is the fifth most highly acclaimed chef in the world. The 2006 SMH Good Food Guide deems dining at the restaurant an experience so superlative that it urges readers to make sure they dine there at least once in their lives.
Tetsuya’s ten-course degustation menu changes frequently. But Tetsuya’s signature dish follows, confit of ocean trout served with unpasteurised ocean trout roe, followed by double cooked de-boned spatchcock with braised daikon and bread sauce, followed by a grilled fillet of grain fed beef with sansho & shiitake mushrooms.
However, I must warn you, this fabulous ten-course degustation will cost you $180 per person. But what the heck, because its worth it, even at least once. So take your girl there this Christmas 2006.
